Rotary Club of Irvine

Lucy joined Rotary in 1996 as a member of the Irvine Spectrum Rotary Club and later the Newport Irvine Club.  She held several Board positions over the years for both of the clubs. Lucy returned to the Irvine Club in 2009 and shortly thereafter served as President of the Club in 2012-2013. As such she lead the organization to become Best Large Club and Best Club for the same year. She has since served on the Strategic Planning Committee and as an Assistant Governor for two years. She served as a committee member for the 2014-2015 District Conference and as the Chair in 2015-2016.Lucy is a Paul Harris Fellow, Society Member and Major Donor.

Lucy Walther joined Edward Jones in 1996 as a Financial Advisor and became a Partner in the firm in 2000.  Edward Jones is a leading New York Stock Exchange firm serving clients since 1871. The firm has more than 14,000 offices worldwide.  Lucy is a Certified Financial Planner®, and holds Series 7 and Life Agent licenses.   She has served as the Orange County Region’s Recruiting Leader and as the Performance Leader for many years.

Lucy provides financial and retirement planning for retirees, business owners and executives. She consults with businesses in implementing executive deferred compensation programs, business continuation and retirement programs.  Her team includes two talented assistants, Dianne Mayne and Phyllis Abraham.  Lucy also regularly mentors new Financial Advisors.

Lucy served as a member and Chairman of the City of Irvine’s Investments Advisory Committee from 1999 to 2015. The Investments Advisory Committee oversees the $500 million bond and fixed income portfolio of the City. In addition, Lucy served for three years as President of the 4,000-member Orange County Chapter of the National Association Investors Corporation, (NAIC), a non-profit, investment-education association serving individual investors and investment club members. Lucy served for six years on the board of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce and the board of the Irvine Senior Foundation. As a member of Saddleback Church, Lucy has taught bible-based financial classes as part of Crown Ministry.

In July 2003, the City of Irvine and the Irvine Chamber of Commerce honored Lucy as the 2002 Irvine Citizen of the Year. This award served to highlight Lucy’s extensive volunteer efforts in support of the City.

Lucy was born in Evanston, Illinois, received her Bachelors in Business from Elmhurst College and her Masters in Management from Northwestern University. She obtained her CFP® and AAMS® from the College for Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado.  Lucy has been blessed with a wonderful daughter, Natalie, who is attending Medical School in Columbus, Ohio.
